Creating this new blog to chronicle the fun with my new Li’l Dreamer doll Evianna! I know I have started a lot of blogs in the past and they have kind of fizzled out over time. I have a good feeling that this time it may just work out. Fingers crossed!
Evianna arrived yesterday on Thursday, 4/13/2023. I snapped two pictures of her in her box and then like my typical five year old self when I get a new doll, I immediately started playing with her. Here are the first photos that I took of her in the box.
In these photos and others I have seen, I felt her wig was a little “poofy” which is why I bought two more wigs to alternate. These are the official photos of the two wigs that I purchased. First there is the Louisa wig shown below.
My initial wig preference when ordering was the Louisa wig, but it turns out when it arrived, it did not have bangs like in the photo. 😳 Instead it had just a center part with longer curled hair on both sides. I fiddled with it a bit to try to make it look like it had bangs, but then gave up and decided to deal with it later. So next I tried on the Desiree wig. Again more fiddling (wig is quite snug on top of the silicone head cap that is provided). I ended up getting it to look really nice and decided to keep it on…at least for now.
I also bought one of her outfits, but decided to hold off on trying it on for now. Instead I dressed her in a hand made Siblies doll dress that I previously purchased on Etsy. The seller is BeachGirlDollClothes She has amazing prices and the clothes are super high quality. Siblies outfits are just the right size for the Li’l Dreamer dolls even though the Siblies are slightly taller. I didn’t get to take photos of her until today at my Mom’s house after working there this afternoon.
Later tonight after having dinner out, I made a quick stop at Joanne’s Fabrics to see if anything caught my eye to make something for little “Evie” (I think I may end up using this nickname for her.) We found two sets of precut fat quarters and with discounts and coupons managed to leave with only $14 less in our pocket. Quite an amazing feat at Joanne’s!
Here are some photos of Evie and I on our Joanne’s adventure! I have video too, but it is a little creepy with sounds of the shopping cart wheels and my feet waking which were not as prominent sounding to me when I was recording. So I’ll spare you of watching that for now! 😂 Anyway, hoping I can make some new clothing for little Evie soon!
I just love how she fits perfectly in my purse! Just the right size to take everywhere!
Until our next adventure…..
Maria
