Saturday Shopping Adventures

So glad the weekend is here.  Today I met a friend of mine for lunch but before I left, I had to dress Evie.  I knew I wanted her to wear one of the new dresses, but I wasn’t sure which.  I opened my stash of hair clips and realized that the pattern on one set matched the fabric on one of the dresses fairly closely.  Can you see which one?

It is these light blue clips!  Not any exact match, but very close!

So these hair clips are coming in very handy!  I couldn’t remember when I bought them originally but I knew that I got them on Amazon.  So I checked order history and saw that I bought them in March 2015.  I remember that I had to buy two boxes because the clips are supposed to be used as only one clip on one side of the head.  If you ever want to wear 2 of the same color/style at the same time,  you need to buy a second box.  They don’t even carry this brand anymore on Amazon and I didn’t see any others as tiny as these clips, so I am lucky to have them.  I did find some very small clips with fabric flowers that I bought and they should be her on Monday.

Here is Evie in her dress  with the matching Hair clips. So adorable!

l soon left to meet my friend for lunch.  I brought Evie with me but she remained in the car.  After lunch I drove to Joanne’s Fabrics because a friend of mine told me that Simplicity Patterns were on sale for $1.99 and also that they had a new Barbie pattern available.  Here are Evie and I once again in Joanne’s!

This time instead of looking through the fabrics, we headed directly to the pattern section.

I looked through the Simplicity Pattern book and found the new pattern. Here Evie is looking very uninterested because there at no patterns in her size.  She is a bit mad about this.

So I purchased the pattern and because Evie was a little sad there was nothing for her, we stopped at Savers on the  way home.  In the book section we stumbled upon a Tasha Tudor Fairytale book.  Such a coincidence because the topic for the doll club meeting that we went to exactly a week ago was Tasha Tudor and her dolls!  So we quickly scooped up this book!

Next we found a great collection of Beatrix Potter stories!  I couldn’t wait to read Evie the story about Peter Rabbit sneaking into Mr. McGregor’s garden!

I didn’t get a photo but we also found a baby onesie that I am going to use the fabric from to make a dress for Evie.  Shhhh… don’t tell her.  She was a bit confused why I was buying a baby onesie.  😂 The dress will be a surprise.

Later at night I went out to dinner with my family and we had this great desert!  Shhh….I couldn’t bring Evie into the restaurant so she would be jealous if she knew I had this.  It will just be between you and me.  😊

Have a great night and see you again tomorrow!
