Quiet Day!

 I went out to lunch today with family and had to run some errands, so Evie and I did not have much time together.  She did get dressed in a lovely blue floral print dress.

Evie has not interacted much with the many other dolls in my house.  She has kind of kept to herself which she has been fine with.  She is a little shy.

This morning she watched as I redressed my two Our Generation dolls (Noelle and Maria) from their winter outfits to some Spring Cat themed outfits that I dug up in my OG clothing collection.  Here they are in their previous outfits.

And here they are in their new outfits more suited for Spring.

Here is Evie posing with the two of them.  As you can see, they are much larger than her.  She stood on the little yellow purse to help make herself taller.

Later in the day she visited with my two original Maru Mini Pal dolls Maru and Tanya.  They seem to coordinate well since they are all in blue.  She promised she would come visit them another day.  All of them have heads sculpted by Dianna Effner so they have lots in common.

Trip to the Pet Store and More!

Today I had to take my dog to the pet store to be groomed.  After I dropped him off, Evie and I took a look at the animals around the store. 

When we walked in the store we were greeted by this ballon dog creature.  Clearly not a real animal!  😂 

First we checked out the fish.  I haven’t owned any fish for a very long time, but once I owned a goldfish who lived for about five years!  I tend to have animals that live for a very long time!  Not sure if it is due to good care or in spite of the mediocre care. 😂  Needless to say, they hang around longer than expected.

These neon fish were kind of cool!  The scary piranha figure at the bottom of the tank was a little freaky!

Speaking of freaky, the tiki idol figure at the bottom of this tank brought back memories!  Are you thinking what I am thinking?

Yup, the tiki idol that Greg found when the Brady Bunch visited Hawaii which doomed him when he was surfing!

Made Alice hurt her back when Hula Dancing…

And caused Peter to get attacked by a spider!

Needless to say, I would not take a chance with putting that in my fish tank…if I actually had a fish tank!  😂

Next we visited the birds.  We saw parakeets…

And a very large parrot!  Polly want a cracker?  😂

I also saw some cute little finches which I swear are identical to ones I have seen outside in the wild!  Maybe they were children of pet birds that escaped!

But what impressed me the most was this cute little canary alone in its cage which seemed to respond to my voice and put on a little show for me.  I am usually not a big fan of birds, but this one was adorable! ❤️

Next we visited the Guinea Pigs.

The “fancy” rats!  Ewwww!!!

And the dwarf hamster…At this point I contemplated what makes the rat creepy but the Guinea Pig and hamster cute given that they are all rodents?  I decided the answer is chubby cheeks!  Chubby cheeks are cute, long skinny faces are creepy.  Always strive for chubby cheeks for optimal cuteness!  😂

Finally we checked out the bearded dragon.  I always look at these when I go to the pet store. I think they are cute but not sure if I would ever get one.  They are, however, very intriguing!

After the pet store, we decided to swing by Joann’s again. Deja vu!

This time in addition to the fabric, we looked at the frog with binoculars….

And the sleeping gnomes!

Fat quarters were on sale for $1.49, but unfortunately I didn’t see any that I liked. Honestly, I have so many fat quarters at home that I could probably make 100 quilts! Last thing I need is another fat quarter! 😂

After a trip to my daughter’s house and about 4 hours after I dropped him off, my dog Riley was finally ready to be picked up. Cute as a button! Definitely cuter than a fat quarter!  😂

Happy Friday! Another Wig Day!

Happy Friday!  Evie is excited that the weekend is almost here!  The weather was much nicer than the rain yesterday, so I was able to take some photos outside at my Mom’s house.  I kept her black hair bows in from yesterday and put her in a dress with a cute floral print and black background.

 

So Friday seems to be the day that the new wigs arrive at my house.  Today I received the wig that I purchased from an eBay seller in Germany.  It is SO CUTE!  I think she will be wearing this for awhile especially since it took a bit of fiddling to get it on her head.  Totally worth it though!

So tonight I had another dinner out and great desert.  Shhh… don’t tell Evie again because she will be jealous.  She loves ice cream.

Teddy Bear Time

Today was another busy work day.  Evie wore this cute red plaid dress which is similar to the blue plaid dress that she wore yesterday.  The little black hair bows were a perfect match for the dress.

She spent most of the day watching me work while holding Tyler the bear.  At one point Tyler fell out of her hands and slipped under the couch.  This made Tyler very scared because it is pretty dark under the couch. 😢

To calm him down, Evie found this book about Teddy Bears and read it to him.  He really enjoyed it!  ❤️

I have to share a few more photos before I go.  We had some some really heavy torrential rain late this afternoon.  When my husband came home from work he saw this double rainbow in the sky over the house across the street from us.  Another great benefit of April showers.
